Thank you for visiting Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Assembly Online. Christ Temple was the first Pentecostal church built in the Midwest, and in the year 2008, Christ Temple celebrated a century of existence! Its history traces back to 1906 when a small mission met in “an old tin shop” in Indianapolis, Indiana. The mission’s overseer, Brother Glenn A. Cook, was one of the persons involved in the revival that began at an Azusa Street Mission in Los Angeles, California in 1906, a meeting which ushered in the Pentecostal movement throughout the country.
